A luminous setting, amidst the green hills of the Marca Trevigiana, surrounds Villa Sandi, a splendid Palladian-style building dating back to 1622 and today home to a winery of excellence, a reference point for the region and beyond.
The mansion houses preciously decorated rooms, where pastel colours combine with stuccoes and bas-reliefs, while splendid Murano chandeliers make the space even more majestic. Within these walls, Napoleon Bonaparte, Antonio Canova, the painter Schiavoni, the writers Caccianiga and Corso have all sojourned, indelible testimony of a glorious and aristocratic Venetian past.
The history of Villa Sandi merges with that of the Polegato family.
Mario Polegato, in the 1920s, started the winemaking tradition in the surrounding area, which is still carried on today by his nephew Giancarlo, who, with care and dedication, has taken the quality of Villa Sandi wines all over the world, acquiring and maintaining to this day the leading position in the export of prosecco among producers in the province of Treviso.
